Summer is a super busy time for me at work with our Fiscal Year End in June running into the 4th of July Holiday which is a big weekend for us at the lake entertaining friends and family. With Austin’s birthday falling on the 8th of July, I always have his birthday the weekend after the 4th of July. This year his Birthday snuck up on me and I had to plan it in about a week! I managed to pull it off and did some really cute things for him!
We usually have a pool party at the Wyoming Rec every year. Since we moved this year, I looked into a lot of other options, but when I asked Austin he said he wanted it at the house and just wanted to play with his new friends and have his old ones over too to see the new house! So that is what we did.
I found a free downloadable template for his invite and emailed it to everyone, which made it super easy and fast!
I ordered these really cute and inexpensive favor cups filled with candies at the RowdyBoysDesigns shop on Etsy! She has all kinds of designs for $2.50 a cup. Everyone loved these. They were delivered right as soon as we got back from the lake and it felt so good to have that part done. Every year I order the kids cake from Sam’s Club. I like to get cupcake cakes with their whipped icing. They are AMAZING! And SOOO good!! The cakes are always less than $18.00 and feed about 30 people.
