Explore Dinosaur World in Cave City, Kentucky

With over 20-acres to explore, you will find yourself wandering amongst some of the most feared predators ever to walk the planet. Dinosaur World offers a unique OUTSIDE, natural setting featuring a lush garden setting and paved walkways where you will encounter a wide variety of dinosaurs representing many diverse and unusual species.  I loved how this was outside!  It was almost like another nature trail!enhance (23)

This is the T-Rex you can see from the Highway!  You could get your picture with him!

Prehistoric Museum

This INDOOR museum has an assortment of real and cast prehistoric fossils. There are informational panels along the walls with facts and common questions and answers about dinosaurs.

Fossil Dig

Get your sifter and cup, find a spot at the dig, and start your search! From shark teeth to gastropods, stingray barbs to Mosasaur teeth, there are plenty of fossils to find – the hard part is picking your favorite three! (Included in Child’s admission ages 3-12).

The Fossil Dig is a fifteen minute guided activity. Fossil Dig tickets come free with a child’s admission ticket. Children can dig and find their favorite three fossils to take home. Once they’ve made their selection, they take them to the attendant who will bag them up and identify them for the children.

Dino Gem Excavation

Make a selection from the choices of bags, take it to the sluice, and play your hand at panning for real minerals, arrowheads, and gems! Everything you get to keep! (Included in the Excavation Pass).

The Dino Gem Excavation is a mining sluice where you can purchase a bag of minerals and gemstones covered up with dirt. Take it over to the sluice and uncover your gems and minerals in the water! You get to keep all of your finds!

Boneyard

This was another favorite spot!  It was a big sand box where they could uncover dinosaur bones!!

Hours and INFO:

Open daily 8:30AM to 6:00PM Central Time. Closed Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.

There is no food service available at the park. Pack your own picnic lunch and Dine with the Dinos!

General Admission rates include access to over 150 life size dinosaurs along with the theme parks numerous shows and exhibits including the areas largest, interactive boneyard, the giant skeletal playground and the Prehistoric museum featuring an impressive collection of trilobites to dinosaur claws and eggs, mammoth bones, and more!
