Ava was SO excited to have her 11th Birthday Party at Escape Room JR in Sharonville, Ohio! Escape Room JR has two Escape Rooms Built for Kids! They accommodate up to 15 players (ages 8-80). Rooms remain unlocked. It is only through teamwork and brain-powered puzzle solving that kids can truly “escape”!
I thought the puzzles were challenging… the girls really impressed me with how many they were able to figure out! I would say this is for sure for ages 8 and UP. I felt Ava and her friends were the perfect age for this 11 +. They had a lot of Fun and EVERY Girl that was there wants to come back!
You can earn a bronze, silver or gold medal. If you don’t win gold on your first visit, you can come back and try the same adventure until you do. This point/medal system concept is Genius for the Escape rooms, I think. You can go back and try for a better score… and Go For The Gold!
Adults can venture into the escape room with the kids or watch them on a monitor from the comfort of our lobby. If your team has any kids under the age of 13, at least one adult must join the fun in the room with the team.
Each adventure (your choice of Castle or Pirate) consists of two escape rooms. Once the clock starts ticking, kids have 30 minutes in each room to solve the mystery, crack the code, and Go for the Gold. Kids can attack snacks between each escape room.

This medieval adventure consists of two rooms: Attack Their Castle and Defend Your Castle. You spend half an hour in the first room exploring the puzzles and working together to gain the highest score. After a short break, you will experience the other Castle room, continuing the story and making memories. If you have ever wanted to have a medieval adventure, here’s your chance!
Don’t worry everyone is a winner! Every player under 18 receives a medal…not the kind you see in the dollar depot. Medals are sturdy, durable and just plain cool. Depending on their score, players will earn a Bronze, Silver or Gold medal. The rooms are designed to try over and over again until you earn the Gold!
You have the option to rent a private party room – where you can host your birthday bash, graduation gathering or celebration in a private room for up to 15 teammates. You can purchase pizza and drinks, and BYOC (bring your own cake).

Ava wanted a Beauty and the Beast (hence the Castle room choice) themed party. I had my good friend Emily, owner of Back in the Kitchen make these yummy and beautiful cupcakes for her!
