Last week, Austin and his buddy, attended the Tetra Brazil – Challenger Sports – Soccer Camp. Every year, I jump at the opportunity to send Austin to the Challenger Soccer Camps. He has a great time each year and always comes away with new skills!
This is even more important to me now that we have Austin on a competitive soccer team. I want to keep him active, practicing, and building new skills during the off season.
This year we decided to try the Tetra Brazil Camp they offered, this specific camp was offered indoor at CSN, Cincinnati Sports Nation in Milford. The indoor location protects the players from the hot summer heat and unpredictable rain! Which was a MUST this summer, especially last week!
I like that this camp provides your child with the rare opportunity to receive high-level soccer coaching from a team of international expert’s. This year Austin’s coach was Gabby, a young woman from Brazil.
I appreciate the way the coaches focus on fun and turn skill development into a game. This allows Austin to have a new/exciting experience while developing new skills and practicing learned skills.
At the end of the week his coach, Gabby, sent home certificates with a written note and “graded” them on the items they excelled, developed, and improved in. Getting this type of written feedback is good for the young players to reflect on areas they are doing well and where they can improve. Confidence building is Key at this age of soccer players!
Another thing I love about this camp – if you register by a certain date (pre-register) you get a FREE jersey(like the one they are wearing above), soccer ball (also pictured below), and a t-shirt!!
Have you tried any of the Challenger Soccer camps?
