As many of you saw from my posts this weekend, we went on our annual Fall Halloween Campout! We typically go camping 2X a year, once in the fall and once in the spring. We have been trying out a new campground every time. This year we went to East Fork. This campground by far had the best camp sites we have ever had. All the picnic table and fire pits on the one side in the back of the woods behind our campers. We really lucked out. If you camp with camping experts like we do… you have a dining hall tent!
We typically do some sort of pot luck amongst all the families camping. Friday night is always Scott’s famous pulled pork. Saturday, we did a ton of yummy appetizers while the football games were on during the day, after our walk exploring the lake that morning. We did Skyline Chili for dinner after trick or treating.
This year I wanted to do a Fun Fall Dessert. I saw this adorable pumpkin shaped cake at Kroger in the bakery section, and since Ava is obsessed with all things Pumpkin Spice, I asked them if they could make one for me with the limited-edition Whipped Pumpkin Spice flavored icing!
