Ikea invited myself and several lifestyle bloggers to their, “Get ready for life” event last week. They focused on the activities of sleeping, storing clothes & shoes, getting ready in the bathroom and how their new line helps you get more organized in these aspects of your life. We live in a world of constant connection, a world with climate change and resource scarcity. More of us are moving into cities with less space in our homes, while at the same time we own more clothes, shoes, and technology. They had the shoes on display in the closet almost like artwork! That is some inspiration right there! I may have a little bit of shoe envy.
Many of us are stressed and don’t get enough sleep. The home becomes more important now than ever before. Home is where we feel safe and where we can be fully who we are. It is where we recharge and regain balance. It is where we get ready for life. I love the bedding pictured below. It reminds me of a set that my bestie growing up had in their guest room. Simple, and bright! I love blue and yellow together.
They focused on a few areas that could always use a little extra attention: getting your clothes and shoes organized, having a better night’s sleep and solutions for getting ready in the bathroom. Like the below picture, you can put magnets on the backs of your make -up so they will hang on this cute magnetic board.
Of course they did not let us leave with out feeding us some of their famously delicious meatballs! SOOOO YummY!
