I have been eyeing these Wood watches for a long time! That’s why when I was approached by JORD Wood Watches, a company that aligns closely with my own personal beliefs and style, I jumped at the chance! It’s an American company owned and operated by artists, designers, and marketers. The watches are made with 100% natural woods, and the wood is not altered in any way to achieve a particular color or design. JORD Wood Watches doesn’t use any toxic chemicals to treat the wood. They only use sustainable wood varieties to create their watches.
The face is made of sapphire glass vs. regular glass, known in the luxury watch industry as the definitive material for transparency and durability. This ensures that your watch face will remain scratch-resistant and remain as clear as the day you first wear it.
If you have someone in your life who seems to have everything and you’re forever searching for a great gift to buy them that is both unique and practical, I believe a JORD watch is your answer! I really love the women’s collection of watches, but as an Apple Watch lover, I am not interested in replacing it, however I was so excited to see that they do have bands for the apple watch!
The first gift I bought Scott when we were dating was a really nice watch. He doesn’t wear it anymore, bling and jewelry are just not his thing anymore. However, the sleek earthy, stylish look of these wood watches, I know he will for sure love!
That’s why I knew one of these watches would be the most perfect father’s day gift for Scott! They would also make the perfect anniversary gift, graduation present and of course birthday or Christmas surprise.
With Father’s Day quickly approaching Momma’s, why not give your loved ones a cool watch? When we received the package in the mail, Scott’s watch was artfully presented in a gorgeous wooden box. We loved this elegant display, and the watch comes with extra links in case it needs to be resized.
JORD (pronounced YOAD, like TOAD) is a Swedish word meaning “earth, soil, or land”, which really is a perfect fit for the company’s wooden, eco-friendly products. JORD was founded in 2013 by two brothers who grew up in St. Louis and have subsequently named every watch after the city’s streets or house numbers of the homes they grew up in. Their website claims that the company is “focused on creating timepieces that are modeled after a modern lifestyle.
They value sustainability, efficiency, and experiential living…The value of a watch is not in being able to tell how much time has passed, but in being aware of the need to make that time count. Moments are bigger than minutes and your watch should tell more than time”. If that doesn’t speak straight to this mama’s heart, I don’t know what will. Small business, in-tune with their local community, and a philosophy that speaks to me…awesome, right?
Okay, so let’s take a look at what makes JORD so awesome:
