I posted earlier this summer about how I signed Austin up for the Reds Baseball Camp. I am still so giddy about this camp while looking back at pictures for this post. All I can say is WOW! This camp was AMAZING! Austin attended this camp with his Buddy Brody and his brother Carter. Camp is always more fun with a friend!
Camp highlights include:
Meet a top current Reds player
30 hours of professional instruction
Full Reds uniform (look how CUTE they are)
VIP trip to Great American Ball Park
Four tickets to a 2015 Reds “Camper Reunion” game
The location we chose for Austin to attend was the P&G Cincinnati MLB Urban Youth Academy. This sportsplex is AMAZING! They have indoor fields and several outdoor fields. Everything is TOP OF THE LINE. When we walked in on the first day, my husband and I were in AWE of this place. I couldn’t imagine being able to practice in a facility like this as a kid! It is truly an awesome place!
The coaches were college players and men who are very passionate about baseball. Austin loved his coach!
Things to remember for next year:
PARTICIPANT AGES – camps are open to boys and girls ages 6 to 14
FAMILY AND FRIENDS DISCOUNT – If two or more children sign up together, each will receive a $25 discount. In order to receive this Family/Friends Discount the registrations must be submitted together.
CAMP TIME – Monday through Friday 9am to 3pm. They do have before and after care! EXTRA INNINGS (EARLY ARRIVALS AND LATE PICKUPS) – Camps begin at 9 a.m. and conclude at 3 p.m. However, to accommodate parents’ schedules, you may drop off your camper as early as 8 a.m. and/or pick him/her up as late as 5 p.m. An additional $5 will be charged for each early or late “Extra Inning.” Just check in with the camp Field Director on Monday morning.
LUNCH – Campers should bring their own lunch and drinks.
Here are some more pictures from his visit to the stadium!
Mesoraco came out and spoke to the boys!
Austin loved his week at Reds Camp! It is for sure something we will never forget!
